Day 1: Moshi – Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with a drive from Moshi to Tarangire National Park, with lunch along the way.In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in the park.
Tarangire is known for its iconic baobab trees and large elephant populations. The Tarangire River attracts a variety of wildlife, especially during the dry season when animals gather at the water source.Wildlife commonly seen here includes elephants, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and several antelope species. The park is also home to abundant birdlife.Dinner and overnight stay will be at a campsite in Tarangire or near Karatu.
Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.
Ngorongoro is one of the most remarkable wildlife destinations in Africa and offers excellent opportunities to see the endangered black rhino. The crater floor is home to lions, elephants,buffaloes, zebras, hyenas, flamingos, and numerous other species.
After the game drive, proceed to your campsite or lodge near Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
In the morning, enjoy a guided hike within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to visit the
Elephant Caves and a nearby waterfall.Later in the day, visit a cultural center in Karatu to learn about the traditions and history of the local Iraqw community, including how they historically protected their livestock using underground settlements. Return to your campsite or lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara – Arusha
After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive.
The park is known for its birdlife, including flamingos, pelicans, and other water birds that inhabit the alkaline lake. Visitors may also encounter elephants, giraffes, monkeys, and other wildlife species.In the afternoon, depart for Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight.
