Day 1: Nairobi – Met Station (3,050m)
Pick up from Nairobi and drive to the Naro Moru Park Gate, arriving in time for lunch. After registration, begin your trek through beautiful montane forest, bamboo vegetation, and giant heather zones. The trail gradually leads to the high-altitude moorlands where you will reach your first stop at Met Station. This is a gentle hike lasting approximately 3–4 hours with an elevation gain of about 600 meters. Dinner and overnight stay at Met Station.
Day 2: Met Station – Mackinders Camp (4,300m)
After breakfast, continue hiking toward the edge of the forest line before crossing the marshy sections of the lower moorlands known as the vertical bog. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Picnic Rocks before continuing the ascent toward Mackinders Camp. The trek takes approximately 5 hours and gains about 1,300 meters in altitude. Dinner and overnight at Mackinders Camp.
Day 3: Mackinders Camp – Point Lenana (4,985m) – Old Moses Camp (3,300m)
Begin your summit attempt at around 3:00 am. The climb to Point Lenana takes approximately 3–4 hours, crossing rocky terrain and scree slopes typical of the alpine zone. Arrive at the summit in time to witness the spectacular African sunrise. Afterward descend to Shipton’s Camp via the Sirimon route for breakfast. Later continue descending through Mackinder’s Valley to Old Moses Camp. The descent takes about 5 hours and offers stunning views of the surrounding moorlands. Dinner and overnight at Old Moses Camp.
Day 4: Old Moses Camp – Nairobi
After an early breakfast, descend through the rainforest for about 3 hours to Sirimon Park Gate where your vehicle will be waiting. Depart for Nairobi, arriving in the early evening.
