The first day of this trip will involve your transfers from your hotel in Kigali to The Volcanoes National Park You will be picked from the hotel to go for a city tour and see the genocide memorial and local markets and later drive northwards to Volcanoes National Park.

The next day would be the main activity day where you will be involved in Mountain Gorilla Tracking and an afternoon nature/cultural walk. You will assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing in the morning together with the trekking gear, drinking water and head down in the forest to track the famous gorillas. Once you spot the gorillas, you will then be allowed not more than an hour to observe, learn and take photos of these gentle giants before getting back to your lodge of stay. Later in the evening, you may go for a cultural walk to the Iby’wachu village for a cultural treat or take a nature walk to the twin lakes.

On the last day, in the morning you would go for briefing at the park headquarters and later proceed for golden monkey tracking as well. This is an easier trek that is less strenuous as compared to the gorilla trek. You are also allowed to be with them for not more than an hour as compared to observing the gorillas as well. This would then mark the end of a beautiful safari to the Volcanoe National Park, Rwanda.
